On Sunday, June 25, we had a very exciting Skt Hans Fest at our church, complete with a service, then outside for summer songs, cold drinks, BBQ hot dogs and burgers, and strawberries and ice cream. The weather was perfect – maybe just a bit muggy, but great to be in our park. It was also a wonderful way for over 110 people to come and say thank you and goodbye to Simon and his family and show them our appreciation for their efforts. On behalf of the church, they were presented with a “Tuborg Mand” figurine, in addition to a previously presented gift of a wonderful painting reflecting a Northern Ontario scene done by a local artist.

We also held the draw for our Skt Hans Lottery, which was successful, with almost $5,600 in gross sales. A big thank you to all who participated in this fundraising lottery. We are grateful for your support. We also wish to thank the donors who helped to make this happen with their wonderful prizes.
